Over the past 15 years, Travis Maclay has been leading God’s people in the church through technical excellence.  Not only has he served as Minister of Media at a few Southern Baptist churches across the nation, but he has also traveled as road manager and audio engineer with various Christian music artists.

 

Travis was raised in a Christian home, realized his need for Christ and surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of nine.  He was very active in church throughout his teenage years and his love for media and reaching people with the Gospel began in high school.  He surrendered to the ministry in the eleventh grade and God has given him wonderful opportunities to share the Gospel all around the world.

 

He has been to the nation of the Philippines over a dozen times and has been blessed with the opportunity to share the Gospel with over half a million Filipinos.  He has also had the opportunity to preach the Gospel and distribute Bibles in the Islamic nation of Turkey.

 

Travis has been married for three years to the love of his life, Mandy.  They met and married at their home church, First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where Travis served on staff full-time for seven years.  After serving four years as the Minister of Media at Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee and as Minister of Media at First Family Church in Overland Park, Kansas, Travis and Mandy are excited to join the family here at Bannockburn Baptist Church.
